Wash away abrasive dust
Dust can create fine scratches when wiped across dry paint. Rinse loose dirt first, use a clean wash mitt and dry with a soft microfibre towel. Avoid household detergents that are not intended for automotive finishes.
Reduce unnecessary sun exposure
Where practical, park under safe shade or in a covered space. Consistent protection is more useful than waiting until the finish has already become dull.
Correct defects early
Small chips and failed clearcoat can allow damage to spread. Ask a professional to inspect the area before choosing between polishing, a local repair or a complete repaint.
